BUILT FOR HANDS THAT MAKE
Your craft.
A clear price.
Open your studio for free. A single 9% fee when you sell covers MakeThatForMe and payment processing. Your delivery money stays yours.
Protected for 24 months.
Your studio’s rate locks for 24 months from its first accepted quote. Every accepted order keeps its agreed fee.
Run your numbers.
The fee applies to all non-delivery quote rows, including materials and labour. No extra platform processing or payout deduction. Prices use two decimals; fee fractions round down to the nearest cent.

Know when you get paid.
- Agree
Send a simple quote or show your materials and labour. Keep delivery separate.
- Get funded
The buyer accepts and pays the full agreed amount. See confirmed funding in your order before starting.
- Make together
Share progress in the conversation and check the important details early.
- Deliver & release
The buyer accepts delivery. We aim to initiate your eligible release as soon as possible, within one hour.
The one-hour target starts after accepted delivery. Provider settlement, available funds, verification, disputes and outages can affect when the money arrives. Existing accepted deposit orders keep their agreed terms.
How does the money reach me?
The buyer pays through MakeThatForMe’s Paystack checkout. Paystack sends the payment to our platform account on its normal settlement schedule. We keep a record of your order, its price breakdown, delivery, our fee and the amount owed to you. After the buyer accepts delivery, we pay you manually by bank or M-Pesa and record the transfer against the order.
Why pay before making?
Buyers show commitment before you start, and both parties can see what has been paid. You keep the buyer involved with progress and final review. We start with this model and will learn from the first users before introducing alternatives.
Can I just quote one price?
Yes. Use Item price and Delivery. Add materials or service rows only if the breakdown helps. Avoid adding both a complete item price and the same materials again.
What if there is a problem?
An issue raised before completion pauses progress and new release submission while support reviews the agreement and evidence. Early checkpoints help catch differences before the item is finished. Read the payment and dispute process ↗
Can I sell outside Kenya?
We are validating the first payment and delivery model in Kenya, in KES. Order records carry their currency so more countries can be added with suitable payment, tax and delivery arrangements.
Paystack handles checkout and sends payments to MakeThatForMe’s account. MakeThatForMe keeps the order records, handles payment issues and pays makers after accepted delivery. You can follow your payments and payouts in your account.
