HOW MAKETHATFORME WORKS
Find a maker, agree the details, and follow the work through to delivery.
Explore the work

Visit a maker’s portfolio. Start with their work or bring your own reference. Discuss what’s possible, your budget and the details that matter.

Agree the quote and timeline. Agree the checks that suit your item and review the finished work together. Confirm delivery matches the brief before closing the project.
QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
A picture, a few words, or both are enough. Mention any colour, size, quantity or timing you already know. You can work out the rest with your maker in the chat. If you cannot find the right maker, post a request and let makers come to you.
The maker shares evidence for each checkpoint. You compare it with the brief and approve it or discuss a change. The maker can adapt the steps for your item before you accept the quote: wood samples, a painting sketch, a fitting, or whatever the work needs. Finished-item review and delivery or handover keep the final checks clear. Keep approvals and photos in the project conversation.
For new launch orders, accept a structured quote and pay the full agreed amount. Payment is held during making; buyer acceptance of delivery authorizes the maker’s release. The 9% launch fee includes processing and excludes delivery. We aim to initiate eligible releases within one hour of accepted delivery, subject to provider settlement and verification. Live availability depends on a provider arrangement that supports holding payments. See pricing and timing.
Create an account, open your studio, choose a palette and add your skills. Share a good photo or short reel of a piece you made. Include materials, possibilities for customization and an optional starting price. You do not need to maintain inventory counts.
We’re designing the first launch around makers and delivery within Kenya, with prices in Kenyan shillings. Agree the specific delivery area and cost with your maker before accepting a quote. International fulfillment is not part of this first release.
Discuss changes in the project conversation before work continues. Quotes lock after acceptance, so changed price or scope needs a documented agreement and operator review. If there’s a disagreement, use “Ask for support” to pause the project and block further releases.
